Meet the Visionary
Joseph Dukes III is a 10-year, current serving member of the United States Air Force.
Hailing from Pittsburgh, PA, he is the devoted father of 3 and shares his life with his best friend, who he's known for over 20 years. Oh yea, and he's the BIGGEST Pittsburgh Steelers fan you'll ever meet!
Joseph simply has a passion to spread positivity to the world, one smile, one motivational message at a time and loves the fact that he gets to use clothing as that platform.
OUR STORY
“Better Than Amazing” is more than just a saying — it’s a lifestyle.
To me, it represents an intentional mentality. No matter what I face from day to day, I make the conscious decision to be better than amazing — in my thoughts, my attitude, and the way I live my life.
This perspective was inspired by my son, who was born three months premature at just 2 lbs., 3.2 oz. He battled chronic lung disease and spent the first eight months of his life in the hospital. During that time, he endured a breathing tube, three failed extubations, and eventually a tracheostomy.
Even after finally coming home, he remained on a ventilator 24/7 and continued facing challenges, including reconstructive surgery to expand his airway. But despite everything he went through, every morning he woke up with a smile on his face.
This simple act taught me the power of perspective, resilience, and gratitude. Because of his strength, “Better Than Amazing” became more than words — it became the way I choose to live every single day.
Oh, and by the way, today, he is trach free, thriving, bigger than most kids in his class, and his past struggles are only evident by the scar that remains where the trach once lived.
My goal is simply to spread this message of positivity to the world. Regardless of what life brings your way - changing your perspective can change your reality. Live every day "Better Than Amazing"!
